Heart Rate Monitor

Hi all :D

I was looking in the Aldi magazine and spotted that they've heart rate monitors in for twenty euro next week. I use a computer from the same 'brand' (Crivit,) it's wireless, as accurate as my Dad's Mavic Sensor and only cost €6! The HRM comes with a wireless wristwatch and band for around your chest. The 'BMI' calculator displays calories, fat burnt and fitness level, it's water resistant and has a 3 year guarantee.

I train regularly and starting to get more competitive, edging towards racing in the summer and I'm also starting to run more to do some duathlons. My current speedo just measures current speed, average speed etc...

So basically, is it worth it? Will it help me get better or is it just a gimic and am I better off saving my money and waiting to buy a better computer altogether with speed/cadence/etc all in one?

Thanks
