So according to @inrng the Blanco team has hired and ex-special forces soldier to question riders about doping.
Is it me or I am the only one who thinks that unless the soldier is allowed to undertake rendition flights & water boarding tactics I doubt its going to make a bit of difference.
Though it does make for a funny headline either way.

Yeah did see a few things on it earlier & not sure what's going on. Does make for a funny headline though.
Still begs the question was it being exaggerated i.e. his former job, but he is being taken on to deal with drug taking or just the whole thing.Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0 -
Actually they hired Eelco Wisman former special forces commander. He specialises in interrogation and hypnoses techniques. He recently accompanied the team to spain for 2 days and during that time he interviewed team members and observed them. His appointment was deemed to be intmidating to the team and a message that drug taking either past or present is taken very seriously. Some of the riders were interviewed for more than an hour and an anonymous source within the team said" he made me feel like a criminal".

And waterboarding isn't all that. People did that at my school (seriously, they did)
I imagine it's scarier when being interrogated by somebody who you might actually be prepared to kill you."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -
If done properly it's horrible. Body must be on incline withhHead must be lower than torso.
There are details here if you're interested: http://www.waterboarding.org/info0 -
So back to the original point then, does anyone think it will make a difference?
By that I mean you have a rider who has committed to doping, presumably been taught how to cheat the testing system & presumably been through contract negations with agent/team and is aware of any drugs related clauses voiding their contract. After they have opted to take the drugs and kept it a secret all that time I don't see them crumbling at being questioned by somebody else.Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0
