Hi

Thinking about getting a Garmin/Bryton at some point soon and was wondering if there are any units which allow others to track your progress? My wife is quite keen to know where I am when I am out on my own. I know that you can get apps for phones that do this but the gps on my phone is next to useless...

Cheers

Rich

the new garmin 810 and 510 allow it, it connects via bluetooth to your phone whilst you are riding allowing live tracking.

You also have the option if you use other apple devices such as a macbook or iPad to use their function called find my iPhone which means you don't have to have an app running on the phone whilst your are out on the ride (personally I find it kills the battery). If this is the case then it could be a cheaper option for you.
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.

I thought the whole point of riding was to get away from the wife...

Since you need a smartphone for the Edge 510/810 live tracking thing I really don't get it. You can do live tracking with Google Latitude on most smartphones.
    More problems but still living....
