Glue residue on Tubs!!

How do I get the rest of the glue residue off my tubs!!??

Been going at it with acetone free nail polish remover but taking AGES!!

Is there an easier way!!

    Also you may have had better look with Acetone CONTAINING nail polish remover. :-)

    Yes what you need is Acetone :)

    100% Acetone is readily available cheap on Amazon in bottles a big as you want.

    Wheels or tyres? Don't use white spirit anywhere near tyres as it will degrade the rubber.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • I just live with it if I can't pick it off with my fingernails. With tyres that are £50 each I don't really want to risk ANYTHING on the rubber.

    Done! White spirit, elbow grease and 4 hours!

    BUT......two tubs that are as clean as new!!

    Tubs as for tubular tyres? Terrible idea

  • Now all you have to do is get the white spirit residue off the tyres before re-glueing them!

    I took it to mean the wheels, not the tyres. At least I hope so. :oops:

    Petrol and a piece of wood works better.
    Clean up with Acetone from a hair dresser supplier.
  • You guys are off your heads! Petrol/white spirit and rubber do not go together well!
