Looking for a jacket to keep the chill off, any recommendations please?
Not strictly a cycling jacket, but I've found a Ronhill Vizion Windlite Run Jacket for £30 delivered, and it looks like a decent bit of kit, any opinions or alternatives please - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ronhill-vizion- ... cket-aw12/

How about a windpoof Gilet?
I find that having just the torso protected is often enough, particularly of you also have arm warmers for added versatility.Yellow is the new Black.0 -
In this weather I tend to find its my core that feels the cold.
Having a good gilet does make sense & as you were looking at wiggle see this one for £24.00 - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-windproof-ultralight-gilet/Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0 -
How about one of these? http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/montane-fea ... ck-p142371 or this http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/montane-men ... et-p102303

decent base layer (I use Craft) and a decent windstopper jacket (I use Gore and Campag). Good enough down to freezing.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0

Winter windproofs need to be much more wind-resistant than summer ones and have good elastic seals at waist and cuffs and a high neck.
The material should pass a huff test, you should be able to breath out through the material but only with a bit of pressure. I like Paramo Fuera as a windproof, it is very durable and should last a decade.
You can layer windproofs for extra warmth and the windproof/insulated gillet combo works well.0 -
Thanks for the replies, will have a look through later and get something ordered.0
