Punctured Tub, fix or replace?
Punctured out of a race 8km from the finish on Sunday, pinhole on the rear tyre (Tufo S3 Lite).
About to buy a replacement, but before I pull the trigger, would a sealant like the tufo sealant be good enough to seal this up for a race this weekend? Or is that a last resort thing to get you back to the car if you puncture during a race?

afaik these aren't repairable like a traditional tub, but for a pinhole tufo extreme might successfully seal it long term, worth a trymy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0

If it was a latex tubed tub then definitely worth repairing- takes about 30 mins if you can be bothered (prob an hour on the 1st go) or you can send it to tubular repairs for about £15 i think.
I have however used Vittoria pit stop mid ride and subsequently used it another 2000k until it wore out with no issues. In my experience if the 'instant repair' cans/fluid works for the first ride then its golden. Unless its a big hole of course!0 -
Yeah they're not stitched like traditional tubs so can't be opened up and repaired, sealant is the only option, was just curious to know if it was recommended.0

I used the Decathlon sealant on my Vittoria and it's worked a treat, already put another 1000km on it.0

Tufo Extreme sealant - had a 2mm slit in a brand-new Tufo CX tub and sealant sorted it.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
