Hi,

Having a right nightmare getting a bike built, I want a colnago C59 built and have looked around, but only found one LBS that has given me a quote for doing it, the rest seem to ignore me or never get back to me. Some of the other places I tried could probably build it, just I want to get measured for the frame and then fitted properly, be a little annoyed forking out £3000 on a frame that was the wrong size. I just don't get it, are LBS more interested in selling complete bikes. Grumble over :)

Anyone know of a decent place where I could get a c59 built to my spec? Was trying to keep it local, but gave up on that.

Cheers
Matt

If Maestro doesn't work, although it should
    Try these:- http://www.windwave.co.uk/colnago_dealers.html
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.
  • This is my LBS - http://www.twenty3c.co.uk

They do a mix of off the peg and custom build bikes. Its only a small showroom but the service is pretty good. Probably about an hour from Reading I would guess.

I've had a off the peg but with some customisation done from new without any issues & a custom build. Both exactly what I wanted and no messing around.

Ceri the owner is also a rider/racer give her a call.
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.

Another for Maestro - he's been selling Colnagos for longer than anyone else and is generally the cheapest.

He brings the frames in from Europe and therefore custom-build is the standard option
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • Pretty sure I saw one in Geoffrey Butler, Croydon the other day. Could be worth a phone call at least.

Might be worth trying Performance Cycles near Cirencester too, they sell Colnagos and can perform bike-fits.
