Alternatives to FSA C40 No.42

I need to buy a headset for my new frame which has a tapered headtube and steerer. Seems like the correct fitting is IS42/IS52 (1 1/8" to 1.5"). I've trawled the web and it seems like there are very few options for headsets to fit. Has anyone any experience of alternatives?

I've got a carbon frame which is missing the headset, which I believe was originally a FSA Orbit C40 and seems to cost ~£50 new. Being a poor student I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to use another headset? Or if anyone happened to have one for sale?
