FSA BB30 Crankset Installation

After a bit of advice please.

I recently bought an FSA K-Force Light BB30 Compact 10sp Chainset to replace the Campag one I currently have.

I understand that my bike uses a standard BB30 bottom bracket so I need to replace the existing BB as it is not compatible.

I was told that an FSA BB is supplied with the crankset so there is no need to order separately, when I got the crankset this is what came with it....

From the instructions it looks like everything is there that is needed as this is an 'external type' BB (if that's the right term?) and the crankset combines the crank arms with an integrated BB30-compatible aluminium axle?

Am I right?

Nope, that's why I'm paying my LBS £15 to do it, me and tools are not good bedfellows!!

that is cheap if it inclueds the pressing out of the BB reducer/adapter.

    they can be tricky.

It sounded good to me too, I said that the existing BB and Campag crankset needed to be removed and then the new
FSA K-Force Light BB30 crankset fitted and that was the price they quoted me, we'll see what happens next week.

    oh Carbon frame.

    not fun.

it does depend on what adaptor was fitted.

Yep, carbon, hopefully they got it right then!

The adaptor is whatever it came as standard with so not sure, I guess I'll find out next week

you might be lucky and it is just reducer cups and it has the BB30 bearings already fitted rather than a reducer sleeve.

have a look at the bottom of the page.
