front light help

i need a new front light as my old one has died in the sh!tty weather

i keep seeing a guy coming the other way who has a bright white light which stays lit constantly,
but also seems to pulse like a heart beat..

what is it ????

I have the 2013 model Hope Vision 1 that stays lit constantly and pulses. A mate of mine has an older model which doesn't have this feature it just flashes on and off.

Ask him on the way past next time...in three or four days you should be able to construct the reply from the snippets you get :-)

Personally I use two 501bs - one with an OP reflector and one without to give different throws - about £40 in total and outperforms expensize bike brands easily, I run them on full cause that comfortably covers my commute (1.5 hours) and its like daylight - many people run the same set up on medium or carry a couple of extra batteries to extend run time.

Very long thread but worth checking for best deals also check DIYs signature link for info on the torch option. Delivery from far east not required as for about 3-4 £ the 501s can be bought from UK. The torch option will save you at least £100 of your £150 to spend on other things

Yep mine does & it is very bright. Have the Exposure Flash on the winter bike & it does the same but not as high output
