Sorry but just too many mentions about money, how much you have on too many of your posts (not all provoked and yes I have followed the threads and you very very clearly started it off by veiled bragging) for it to be in any way believable that money - and more specifically - how much you have - doesn't matter to you
Apart from all this BS - if you are really not bothered about money get a Watt bike and a Colnago for your turbo and then come back on and tell us how much it all cost and what your buying next.0 -

Ive not mentioned money, I find your post offensive to suggest such a thing and can only feel that you are trying to get me to bite (no idea why that turns you on)
If I were asking about buying a brand new top of the line Dogma for the trainer then fine, maybe that could be considered "bragging" or if I had a line of watt bikes in the gym then again fine, but I haven't.
In fact, what I have talked about is one of the cheapest road bikes available, and asked (without mentioning the word cheap) wether people think it would be up to the job and that is only due to reading other posts about bikes falling to pieces on trainers and me not wanting to waste my own money on a bike that wasnt up to the job.
Also, on another post I talked about value clothing and was ridiculed for trying to save money so in reality, its hard to win here ! remember, you have no idea wether I have a 7 figure salary or am claiming disability and living in a rent free 4 bedroom house from the local council !Living MY dream.0 -

Ok maybe I'm wrong but I have the distinct impression that your well off, quite proud of it and have (I would not be surprised if it was completely unconsciously and unintentionally) showed that in your posts. For what its worth - I sincerely do hope that you are rich, and very happy and can buy loads of really nice stuff (even though I am jealous I am still also happy for those who have done better than me - gives me hope that my kids may make it too) and I do apologise if I have misjudged or maligned you. Posting that you are richer than someone else was crass though and I am sorry to say it but to not realise you would get some back afterwards was - no offence meant - a bit naive.
Anyway good luck to you and if you can get a nice bike on a nice turbo in your own gym then good on ya!
PS - If you need someone to clean your pool or gym for you or service your bikes and your in the North East I;m looking for ways to earn a little extra as I seem to be, 'In this ...' more than some (as Dave and Geo would put it!).0 -
As per the PM, I understand where your coming from now and my post earlier was based on the other forum guy trying to badger me. I can assure you that my reply was out of being pis$ed of at his continuous niggling.Living MY dream.0

No problem - sorry if I pitched in and made it worse.
PS- Just couldn't resist the crack about cleaning the pool!0 -
I'm also a bit concerned by the money issue here - especially the "I'm probably richer than you" type stuff.
Money doesn't count for sh1t when you're huffing and puffing up your local climb on your Dogma and you are caught, passed and left for dead by a poor person on a cheap bike (ideally a Chinese Dogma replica).0 -

Im with you and again, I truly apologise if I offended anyone with that post, it was due to being badgered by the same guy who has entered many of posts with only the single aim of causing an issue.
It was in bad taste I admit.
If it helps I do know someone who went further than me. ?
I was at LeMans a couple of years ago (we sometimes go on a lads trip and camp (yes, I do rought it!) and there always seems to be people in extravagant beer cars.
One guy rolls up in a Rolls Royce Phantom with the roof cut off and on the back seat was a large beer keg with 2 gorgeous girls with long straws drinking from the keg sat either side.
On the windscreen was a sticker that read "Incredibly richer than Yaw !"
It was an amazing sight.Living MY dream.0
