As the Lake website is being updated for 2013, does anyone know of, or have a list of Lake stockists in the UK? Any in Yorkshire will be particularly of interest.

  • I think Wiggle are doing them and I got mine from saltdogcycling.com

Best shoes out there IMO. I went from 236 to 331 (heat mouldable ones) and they are like wearing slippers.

Cheers for that Berni. The only issue is that I would like to try them on first! Pretty sure I will need the wide fitting (have used their sizing calculator) but want to make sure before purchasing.

Just get 2 pairs of concurrent sizes and send back the pair that fits worst. I know CR have a great returns service that works perfectly, haven't tried Wiggle.
  • Pelican cycles in chesterfield stock Lake shoes. This might not be to far depending where you are in Yorkshire. I have just bought a pair and they seem very comfortable, but I am yet to try them on the bike.

    Which ones did you get?
  • 236's good wide toe area.
And great service from the shop

I think you'll be hard pushed to find anywhere with wide fit in stock for you to try on. I got mine from a place called Leisure Outlet, at the time there were no wide fit CX401's in stock in the country and the ones that were being shipped in were pretty much all pre-sold but Leisure Outlet did get me a pair somehow....worth a try.

By the way, I tried on about 20 different shoes and the Lake's are the best fit, but everyones feet are different so try before you buy.

Nice. Mine have been excellent and I'm saving the 331's until the weather gets better. Just one small tip, an occasional drop of light vaseline oil on the boa threads keeps them moving smoothly after a wet ride.
