Hi guys
After some feedback on a thread I posted in the beginners section I want to upgrade my Aldi SPD shoes to something more suitable for a 250 mile charity ride I'm doing in July. I want to stick with SPD, but could do with some advice on which shoes to look for.

The DHB M2 carbon soled shoes on wiggle look very tempting,

or would I be better opting for a lower spec but going with a more established brand such as Specialized

Any opinions on the above shoes or any others I should be looking at around £75 mark would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Jim
ps I know you can get the BG sports cheaper than £75!
Cannondale Synapse 105
Giant FCR3
GT Avalanche 3.0
Canyon Nerve AM 6.0

  • With shoes it is worth trying a few brands on first as the sizing and fit of the toe box can vary quite a bit.

I have several pairs of DHB and they are good for the money across the whole range, but do come up a size or two short compared to other brands.
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.
