White lightening v Finish Line v...

Looking for a dry/wax style chain lube to try. Fed up of horrible black chains and want to try something else (even if it means a little more work). This will mainly be used on my summer/best bike rather than on a commuting workhorse. Anyone got any experience or recommendations?
Thanks
Andy

Used f l dry for the last year in all conditions and as long as you clean and lube regularly no issuesYellow is the new Black.0

I don't know about White Lithening, but the very similar White Lightening (sorry!) works well for me - and I use it year-round on a commuting/sportive/fitness workhorse. The only time it's not great is when the temperature is less than c 5 celsius, when it thickens and is hard to apply. It keeps the chain nicely clean (silver, not black!) and I can easily get 2,500-3,000 miles out of a chain and cassette using it.0

Big fan of White Lightning, although the LBS has just asked some of us to try the Muc Off lubes and see how we get on, so that's just gone on for the next few rides.Trail fun - Transition Bandit

Doh, yes sorry about the spelling! Have fixed it now!
Thanks for the feedback so far. A quick follow-up question. I'll be using this on a new chain, are there any problems with these lubes and the lube that comes on a new chain? I think the instructions for wl says that it should be used with a clean chain...0 -
Clean yes - completely de-greased no.
So as long as you wipe it over to remove any dirt/grit you will be fine.Yellow is the new Black.0 -
I have used the Finish Line dry lube on both my bikes. It's seems decent enough to me, chain is silent and clean as long as you clean and re lube from time to time.
I only ride in dry conditions so cannot comment on how it would perform in the rain.0 -

Having ridden through some 'over the wheel hub' stuff at the weekend I can report that it washed off rather well
Not surprising really. AIAE that sort of behaviour is to be discouraged :roll:Yellow is the new Black.0
