BMC RM01 or Cervelo s2 ? (frameset)

Hi all,
I would like to get some advice regarding those 2 framesets as they both are on offer at the moment.
BMC RM01 is 2011 model (BB30), and Evans have them for £899, whilst it is possible to find new 2012 S2 for £999.
Also, I've never used any mechanical components other than Shimano and have a spare 105 group.
That said, I wonder if those frames will show their true performance with 105, or I should get a higher groupset?
The plan is to build a bike for a longish summer weekend rides as well as possible sportives.
Many thanks!
Poly.

What I would say, it doesn't get much better than shimano 105 with exception of weight. Functionality is very similar across the range. You would be better off investing in a good wheelset rather than groupset.
I would choose BMC because I'm biased. However in my objective opinion the BMC is better looking by a lot. Performance wise it's down to how the bike fits you (and your engine).0 -
The cervelo would get my vote, but thats only because I am a huge fan on them. You cant knock the BMC though, my mate has just got one, and in the flesh they look and ride amazing!.. Tough call, my money would sway the S2 way, but bear in mind the S2 will have as slightly more "race" feel and come across harsh on long rides from what I hear.
good luck in deciding!0
