edited January 2013 in Road buying advice
hey all,

I am trying to track down a 2012 54 Cm cannondale supersix liquigas rep to buy for around 1400....

Has anyone seen one about still for sale? Plenty of 56s.

Thanks

you will struggle to find a 2012 version now. some lbs will still have some old stock. The 54cm and 56cm sized ones are the mostly produced and stocked version so your chances should be good.

  • Im 5'10" avergae body shape and ride a 54 CAAD10 (alu version of Super6)... it fits but I do feel a 56 would feel a bit more roomy tbh
Enough bikes to open a bike shop but always room for one more...
  • Thanks for the info..

I have test rode the 54 supersix a few months back and it fitted me pretty well, I also had a sit on a 56 caad while there and it seemed a little to large, I have reasonably lon legs and short torso so TT length is crucial.

I have found three Liquigas 54 cm supersixs but none of them will budge from 1699.... I will keep searching!
  • you tried PaulsCycles?

  • Yeah I tried Pauls cycles, Only have it in black and white and I want the liquigas colours!!! I am reaching new lows now, Certini sold their last one yesterday!

Lakeside Evans had a few in last week when i was in there, cant remember the sizes but they had 5 lined up, im back in there tomorrow so will post back what they have in stock.
  • That would be awesome if they did have!
  • Just phoned lakeside Evans and they have none. Only have the 54 in the white and not team rep colours...the search continues.

You do know that Liquigas have pulled out of sponsorship to cannondale???

Frankly I am surprised they can shift them at all!!!!! :|

I have to say, I MUCH prefer the plain coloured versions and I see little point in buying colours that are no longer relevant, just seems to defeat the point somewhat. It's a bit like England football shirts, old ones don't become cool for at least 8 years...

the liquigas coloured bikes look nicer than the plain...the evans ones will only stoke the plain scheme now. I am sure cannondale would have seized production of the team coloured ones soon as the new sponsors are made for 2013. And the team version was the more popular ones so i would guess you will struggle to find any

Precisely. Buy a Liquigas colour now and you are instantly behind the times.

If you can find one offer them £1000, then it is worth having :D

  • Hmm interesting point, but for me its not about being with the times and the current sponsor.

I just prefer the look of the liquigas rep, lets be honest, surely we would all choose a colour scheme we like rather than a colour scheme that is fashionable at the time..

I will keep hinting knowing that as a back up there are black and white ones around.
  • westbrooke cycles have 2013 supersixes in rep colours and 54cm. BUT they are not 1400. however they do exist.

a caad 10 can be had for 1400

Don't like the blue bits in the current team colored bikes. The old liquigas ones were black white and green. It was much better

Liquigas colours, but arent the 2013 Cannondale colours the same? Its just a change of patterns rather than a change of colour.

What colours are the Cannondale Racing team using in 2013? Your post makes it sound like they will be using Liquigas colours - I do not think that is true.

  • I have a 2012 SuperSix Team Replica in a 54 frame. Sadly not for sale though because I bloody love it! I guess being the 2012 model they will become increasingly harder to find in LBSs. Best bet is probably scouring the classifieds and eBay for a second hand one. Hope you find what you're looking for!

I personally love the team colours and the lime green has become synonymous to Cannondale. I personally don't give a sh*t whether they are sponsored by Liquigas anymore. They look great!
