Bought myself a set of easton ergo aero bars, the bars with the flatter areas accross the top. Nows come to fit new bartape and im wondering how far accross the top section to run the tape??
All input much appreciated.
Cheers

It's personal preference. I'd be inclined to tape as far as my thumbs when my hands are on the top of the bar. If the bars have a distinctly flat top, a lot of people only tape as far as the bend just past the hoods.

    Whatever you think looks/feels best.

Tape the whole thing as normal if you like.

    As stated its personal preference.

So as many options as you want really.

Yes the length of tape may be your problem. Different makes come in differing lengths.

FWIW Fizik seems on the scrimpy side.

If you use the short strip to tape round the back of the levers then you can get away with a simple wrap around the hoods and the tape goes further.

If you use the figure of eight method to wrap around the hoods then most tape these days is pretty short.
