shimano chain & carbon rims brake pad advice

in the process of buying some ultegra 6700 chainset etc etc what chain would you recomend

is this one suitable

also just bought some dura ace c24 rims what brake pads would you suggest? im looking to buy some 6700 calipers so do i need an insert or do i need to buy the full brake block

    Any 10 speed road bike chain is fine. Personally prefer KMC and Shimano tend to be overpriced and inferior quality IME.

    If you buy 6700 calipers they normally come with a set of pads in the carrier.

    If you wish to change pads (although not sure why until they are worn) you only need the inserts.

    AFAIK, KMC manufactures Shimano's chains.

    Your post is misleading, your new wheels have a rim track ade of common alloy, so they are not to be treated as carbon rims... Use the pads you like

    I did not have the heart to tell him that so just relied on my bit in brackets, and hoped it would sink in 8)

    Yes and Heinz make supermarket own brand beans so what is the point you are making?
