ISO or JIS?

ISO. I use 118 but 115 also works0

Oops! Should have checked first! Not sure but it could be JIS. The fitting instructions dont specify. I used a Shimano UN 54, but that doesnt specify which taper either.0

Shimano is definately JIS but CURRENT TA seems to be ISO but I am not sure if older TA is also ISO.

I found this on the CTC site...

It seems Chicken (UK Importers of Alize & Zephre) say JIS but TA say ISO!!!!
The consensus seems to be JIS since Chicken sold lots of these and if JIS was wrong one would have expected them to know.
I will try a couple of UN54 BB's to see which gives best result.

Me again! The mystery is explained on this site:

Its not just me, it really is complicated. If you read through this it explains that TA switched b/b taper types a few years back. The Zephyr c/set was replaced with the Carmina, and newer ones of these have ISO, older ones have JIS. I guess that means that your Zephyr will almost certainly have JIS. As to axle length, that also depends on down tube size. If I were you I would e-mail or call Peter White Cycles - they seem to be specialists. Hope I havent messed you about, as Peter White says, "TA drive me to drink".0 -
FWIW there's no difference in taper angle between ISO or JIS - just that JIS is a little wider at the end:

AFAIK TA have always been ISOMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
