The Bike Show

In my quest for a new winter/shopping bike I popped down from snowy Leicester to the bike show.

You know how good a bike show it is when one of one of the biggest stands was Microsoft; world famous for bikes!

The people manning the Ribble stand were on their mobile phones and far too busy for people wanting to buy anything. (The Ribble 365 looks better "in the flesh" so I'll be ordering one soon)

The show was mainly people selling energy bars so if you're looking for a new shiny bike I wouldn't bother going to the show.

The more clicks I get the higher it creeps up the google radar :)

Thanks for the heads up. I'm at a loose end on Sunday and was considering buying tickets.

I'll go for a walk instead!

Ignoring lunch and dinner the train and tube must have been about £40 and I got £12 tickets for the show. So it wasn't too expensive.

It was worth it just to see the Ribble Sportive 365 but I was hoping for more choice.

Now I need to decide on what long drop brakes to buy.

I've just got back. It wasn't the biggest but not bad. Fair range of bikes to see in the flesh. Couple of nice shows, stunt displays etc. Happened to be the day that Sir Chris launched the GB kit.
Also have been after a new helmet so it gave me a chance to try a few different ones, (could have done it in a big shop I suppose). Got myself a very nice Kask Mojito with a bit of a discount :D

All in all not a bad day out. Also you get entry into the Boat show and outdoor/camping ones if you're into that so not bad for my £10 ticket.

Came back across the river on the cable car as well. Would recommend it if you've not done it, nice views of snowy London.
