Evening,
Been looking for a good anotherroad bike for a while now. On a tight budget of £700, looked at Merlin bikes last year but noticed they have an updated version of the Malt-R road bike..

I have been to my local shops but not that excited by anything they have, I have had a road bike before so I know what size TT etc is good for me at 5ft 6...ish!
I have seen a good deal on a Giant TCR but it is slightly over my budget so looking to see what else is out there.
Any opinions appreciated as always.
Thanks,
Mike.

What about the Sensa range also at Merlin?

What sort of riding are you doing? What terrain will you be on? Hilly? Budget?
All these and more will help you decide.
Without that info all I can say is your initial choice seems reasonable value but I have never ridden one.0 -
Been there already mate, didn't see anything in my size I liked the look of.
Thanks though.0 -
Looked at the Sensa bikes aswell, prefer the look of the Merlin if I'm honest. Looking to use it for fitness, weekend rides with mates up to 60 miles, hoping to do a sportive and a Tristhlon aswell. Roads round my area range in condition from awful to dangerous.. Plenty hills but none that are terribly steep. Budget is £700 as mentioned before.
I have ridden road bikes before so not a total beginner.0 -
Looks good value to me.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0
