I am looking to get fitted for my new bike and looked on Retul's site which forwarded me to Bike Fixx in Stowmarket as one of my closest centres (I live in Cambridge). Was wondering if anybody had used them and what their thoughts are?

Cost is looking at £165 for a 2 hour fitting session - is that about right?

Does it have to be Retul or are there various options out there that offer a similar level of fit?

Any recommendations would help. Don't really want to be travelling much further than an hour or so from Cambridge if I can help it.

Yes for a PROPER bike fit that's about right. If you go for anything less then its not a bike fit. They should measure you properly using laser measurement and should also record you on a bike to look at your pattern riding. Anyone thinking a cheap fit that just checks your height, reach and crank length are kidding themselves. If you are going to pay for a fit you should do it right. Ideally a bike fit should take between 2 to 3 hours minimum. so the price you mention sounds reasonable for an amateur (I take it you ain't a pro or semi pro)

No need to travel then :D I've not personally dealt with him but know others that have and they certainly recommend him - he knows his stuff!
