Hi
I have got a campag 10spd 13-26 and want to change to a 13-29.
I am new to this and have limited tools - what tools will I need, or
Is it better letting the guys at the LBS do this.
Also will I need a new chain?
Many thanks, Simon

You need a chain whip (to hold cassette when undoing the lock ring) and a lock ring tool (campag fit).
Simply use an adjustable spanner on the lock ring tool and job done.
When fitting new cassette no chain whip needed as freehub is going the right way.
10 mins including wheel in and out.
Chain - some would say longer one I personally would try it as it is.Yellow is the new Black.0 -
If the 13-26 is old and worn, it'll be worth replacing the chain too (as they would have worn each other). There is a risk that the extra three teeth will be too much for the rear mech if it's a standard short cage from a few years ago and you're running a compact chainset.
As smidsy said, you MAY need an extra link in the chain if you keep the old one but not always (I don't going between a 26 and 29 cassette) - and it's a very simple job with the right tools.0
