Brake pads

Wanting to upgrade the pads on my bike.. do they make a big difference to breaking performance?

What would people recommend?

    Yes they do - especially if you have Tetkro brakes or cheaper shimano ones. Try Swizz Stop or Kool Stop pads. I get these:

  • I upgraded from Tektro pads to Swissstop green.
    I just bought the pads as I already had the holders fitted.
    A worthwhile upgrade for the money as I have a lot more confidence in stopping quickly if needed.

  • Swissstop green first time. Not much better at stopping than my Campagnolo Bre-Bre700. But at least I won't be replacing them every 6th ride.
