GT85 or not?

its got Teflon PTFE is leaves a barrier (unlike WD40) but I put something a bit thicker on the chain as the links need something stronger then GT85.
Oh and don't get it anywhere near the brakes or rims :shock:0 -
if you applied enough to displace water that snuck into the gaps between plates/rollers you'd go through a *lot* of gt85
the solvents will also displace or degrade the chain lube, which is what you want to stay put, the chain lube will also be doing a perfectly good job of stopping corrossion
keep the chain/etc. correctly lubed, wipe with cloth after a wet ride, no rustmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -

^ good point ! it will flush out your grease so don't go near hubs or BB's either !0 -
Its 90% solvent with a little lube, fine for cleaning stuff but steer clear of bearings and drivetrain unless planning to relube.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

I spray it over all metal parts to stop rust, but avoid chain, bearings etc as it will drive out grease and lube.
Perfect for this time of year. I thoroughly clean the bike once a week anyway, but it helps keep the rust and seizing situation down to a minimum.
And it smells lush.0
