BB30 cups for K-Force
Hi
So I have been driving Bianchi Sempre with BB30 and had a lot of problems. From weird sounds to crushed bearings(all work on bike was done by LBS).So I thought that Gossamer is fault for all problems and I've bought K-Force from CRC.So today I was looking for Vacansoleil new bike and saw some cups on the bike,I guess that Oltre is using BB30 as I do.So is it possible to buy this cups somewhere? I want to buy them in hope that I will have less problems with BB30.

That looks like an adaptor into a BB30 shell? What version of K-Force do you have - BB30 or Mega-Exo?Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

With BB30 the crank arms usually abut right up against the bearings / BB shell - your photo would seem to depict an regular 24mm spindle external bearing chainset with some form of adaptorMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0 -
Hello,
It certainly looks like you've got external cups there. So, if the frame is definitely BB30 ready, but your cranks is Mexa Exo, i.e. 24mm, it's probably these:

...basically, press-fit external cups, Alternatively FSA make an internal sleeve with an English thread that has to be press-fitted into your BB shell and then allows you to screw in your Mexa Exo cups in the usual way. It's impossible to tell from the photos, but it's most likely one or the other.0 -
Thank you ,but why would they put non-BB30 K-Force on this bike? They are Pro Tour team and I guess that they have many BB30 K-Forces availible for mounting.
Or this option is better for bearings?0 -
Sorry, I just read your initial post again. I must've only glanced at it because I initially thought you wanted to fit a 24mm (megaexo) crank into a BB30 shell. Having read it again I understand that you actually have a BB30 crank and the bike in the picture isn't yours!
Ok, so the picture above isn't very clear but you can definitely see external BB cups so it isn't a traditional BB30 set it. So it's either MegaExo, converted to fit a BB30 shell using cups like I've shown you already. Or, it's a BB386 set up. It's only recently been introduced by FSA. Check out their website for full details.

Thank you for replies and I think that this is Mega Exo version of K-Force probably. But I was suprised when I saw this cups on Oltre.I saw this cups only at Campagnolo drivetrain on Oltre,I was thinking why is this cup so familiar to me and realised that I saw it on Oltre with Super Record.0
