Do they take the same cleats?
Thinking of getting some A520s as they are supposed to help reduce hot spots given the bigger contact area, but do they take the same cleats - have read something about single directional release cleats on the A520, and I have no idea what that means.

The cleats are the same and your shoes will work on both.
I have both (Trail bike & road bike). When I am clipped in I couldn't tell the difference but my shoes have a stiff sole.
The main difference is the rough side of the double sided M520s for normal shoes and that the M520s are heavier than the A520s.None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0 -
cheers, thats what I needed to know. If i like the A520 i will use the M520 on the Mtb. Cheaper solution than changing to SPD Sl or Look etc and having to buy new shoes and then falling over in cafes because they are silly for walking on!Bianchi Infinito CV
