have finally made decision to go hardtail with 29ers as small compromise to comfort however the more i read the more uncertain i become causing inaction! ? - anyway ideal spec would be carbon frame 29er with sram 2 x 10 or the new xx1 - anyone know of a bike that fits that spec for under £1800? otherwise looking at the cube reaction gts pro as would appear good value at around £1400

    Under £1800 for an XX1 isn't going to happen!

    Trek Superfly Elite with alloy frame is nice (2x10).

    Have you looked at the Canyon's or radons? Probably the best VFM in that style.

    Yup the £1600 grand canyon would get my vote. Looks terrific.

    Not a hope in hells getting the spec you want for that money.
