Looking for some new clincher wheels for the summer, are the Enve SES 3.4 worth paying approx £800 more than the Mavic R-Sys SLR's ?

It depends on what you want them for, the r-sys are much lighter 200g or so. If you do your riding in the mountains of wales then get the r-sys if you can describe it more as rolling then consider the enves. However is that worth an extra £800.
Well i wouldnt swap my Enve 6.7s for any other wheelset, they are amazing. Am i considering a pair of 3.4s... maybeBMC TM01 - FCN 0
Look 695 (Geared) - FCN 1
Bowman Palace:R - FCN 1
Cannondale CAAD 9 - FCN 2

I am also interested in trying these - are you looking to purchase the standard "factory" build or a custom set?

Rich,
I was looking at the SES 3.4 with Chris King hubs, was you looking to go for a custom set ?
Cheers,

ian, how is that a custom set? i have chris kings on my 6.7s and that was how they came from my shop.
i dont think you'll be disappointed with either set. But like i said in my previous post it completely depends where you are riding and what type of riding you are doingBMC TM01 - FCN 0

Hi Ian
I have asked for a price on a custom build from two sources although the spec will be the same as that available from dealers via the distributor, Saddleback i.e. Chris King hubs and Sapim CX-Rays.
Just interested to see to see if there is any difference in price......

For price and performance look the the new DT Swiss 240 straight pull hubs.More on my blog: http://glorycycles.blogspot.com/0
