Specialized Roubaix Elite gear cable routing
I've recently built up a 2nd hand Roubaix Elite 2010 frame but I'm unsure of the proper routing for the gear cable for the front mech.
The cable runs externally under the bottom bracket as normal but once over the plastic cable guide passes through a small hole in the frame and back out on the rear of the seat tube.
I can imagine the cable might rub against the frame and cause wear or snap prematurely. Should there be something to protect the frame from the bare cable?
I've tried to find a similar frame to compare against but all the newer models obviously have internal cable routing and photos aren't very helpful. Any advice would be great thanks!

My Roubaix is exactly the same, cable exits the hole in the frame at exactly the correct angle to fit to the front mech without any rubbing in the frame.Jens says "Shut up legs !! "

Thanks for the reply.
It definitely feels like there's some rubbing going on where the cable exits the frame on my bike. I've got a feeling the cable guide on the bottom bracket isn't correct and should probably be a frame specific one.
I'll have to see what the LBS have to say I think.0
