Does anyone know if Carnac are still making shoes? Planet X have some massive discounts on Carnac shoes at the minute but its hard to find any info or reviews from the past few years, I'm thinking perhaps they are gone and Planet X have some liquidation stock?

As of a few months ago they were showing their 2013 line but they do seem to have fallen off the map of availability. Not sure why, they used to be considered one of the best and more sought after shoes. :?

Where did you see the 2013 range? I can't even find a website for Carnac.

Seem like good quality shoes with a fine history and reputation, I'm thinking can't go wrong for £45 with an RRP of £150 ( pinch of salt as ever with RRP).

Even looking for a US distributor here turns up nothing for Carnac. Well, that doesn't look good. Seems all that's left of the factory is a bunch of old rocks. http://www.sacred-destinations.com/france/carnac-stones

Was thinking the very same myself. I saw the Planet X offers and bought some MTB shoes. They've arrived and fit well. Magnetic buckle works well seems a little flimsy. I'm guessing that if I do have a problem with durability there won't be much in the way of customer service from Carnac.

I'd searched the web as well and couldn't find anything about the company.

    Brittany seems lovely though...

Indeed it is. Especially Finistere! Come and visit!

(I do the tri at Carnac every September. My avatar piccy is from this year's event. It's an unremarkable seaside town with a field of big prehistoric? stones that are not as impressive as Stonehenge!)

Another excellent shoe maker, Lake, also seems to be impossible to find for 2013. Anyone?
