Indexing problems

I'm running a slightly unusual setup- Microshift 10-speed levers with Sram Apex 10 speed rear mech. The shifters were fine with the Ultegra rear mech I was using before, but with the new mech the shifting range doesn't seem to be enough: it won't shift to either the bottom or top sprocket, missing shifts in between. On paper (as far as I can tell) it should all work fine and I can't work out why there are issues...

    SRAM and Shimano rear stuff doesnt mix I believe mate.

    Ahhh just found that Sram shifter pull 1:1 and Shimano 2:1.
    I was always lead to believe that you could pick and mix Shimano and Sram stuff...
    That'll be my issue then!

    aye just grab yourself a shimano mech, hardly worth the hassle/£s of swapping shifters.

    Anyone interested in a third-hand apex mech? Hardly used
