Cervelo Seat Post Fitting

My son has a Cervelo frame which has a seat post that has a fitting that allows the saddle to be in a road or TT position.
The saddle is held in place by an Allen key that is accessed via a 'comfort' slot in the saddle.
He has purchased a better quality Fizik saddle which does not have a comfort slot. But is now wondering how to attach the new saddle to the seat post fitting as access to the Allen bolt is now through the side of the saddle, does he need to alter the Allen bolt to a conventionally headed bolt, and then use a spanner through the side of the saddle ?
Any pointers would help.

have you tried fitting the bolt the other way up?. every other seatpost saddle clamp you will see has the allen bolt fitting underneath the saddle.
which model frame/seatpost is it?0 -
Thanks for that, as I was writing the posting I was thinking of that as an option. Bikle hasn't been used for last few weeks as weather has been so bad. Will have a look at it this weekend and post how we get on. Thanks again.0
