Should I buy a Garmin edge 800 or should I wait

Hi there !
I am in the market to buy a gps unit (fed up with google maps navigation...). I cycle around London a lot and get lost easily, and on the weekend I would like to use other people's maps like with ridewithgps; as well as using it as a classic cycle computer (cadence speed etc)
I'm ready to splash the cash on the garmin edge 800, but I am wondering if I should wait for the new version? I've read that it should be out sometime early 2013.
What do you think ?

Wait for the new version, then 800 will be cheaper.
