Cube vs Focus for first road bike

Hi there, sorry this is my first post but im new to this site and new to road bikes.
I got quoted for two bikes today. One being the Cube Peloton Pro 2013 Tiagra and the other the Focus Culebro SL 2.0 Ultegra. Both of them were of a similar price but there's a couple of things niggling me about them both.
I read somewhere that the Peloton can have quite a harsh ride through the back end. Can anyone confirm or deny this as I'm struggling to find one to test ride?
The focus has slightly aggressive race geometry compared to the Peloton and I've not heard or read much about them. Anyone have knowledge on them that they care to share?
