I've just signed up for my works new cycle to work scheme and have ordered the following:
Felt f95 (matte black)
Shimano m520 pedals
Lezyne pressure drive hand pump
2 bottle cages and 2 bottles
Giro transfer helmet
I have been mtbing for a few years now so have lots of other bits and pieces like shoes, waterproof, mitts, gloves shorts and multi tool etc. Can anyone recommend anything I have missed off this list?
The bike will be used for a short 1.5 mile commute and for weekend/evening rides.
Thanks.

Lights?
Puncture repair kit?
Depending on how long your weekend rides are you might want lycra shorts, but that's a matter of preference (most prefer lycra).
Enjoy!0 -
I like how all of this is going on a Felt 95. For a 1.5 mile ride.
Dude, seriously, just get a 100 dollar beater off of craigslist for that. Ride the felt on longer rides.0 -
We don't use dollars over here. Plus he gets a tax break on it. Hopefully you have secure parking at work?
I'd probably just walk in though for that distance and save the bike for the weekend.0 -
I appreciate its short but I would have to go to work a lot earlier than I would like if I walked (I'm a teacher so it would mean walking in with the kids which could be unpleasant).
I can keep the bike in my office at work so it will be safe. As for lights are there any recommendations? I've already got lots of padded shorts, a pair of bibs and puncture repair for my mtb.
Thanks again.0 -
Hi Neil, I'd recommend a pair of mudguards; full sks ones if the bike has eyelets. A rack (and racktop bag) is also great for carrying luggage (much better than a backpack), and allows the use of panniers for any major cargo carrying missions! Other than lights though it sounds like you're well kitted out to start off with. Enjoy.0

Lezyne Micro or Macro lights seems to be well regarded for city cycling.
Loads to choose from for dark country lanes. I bought one of these 11 months ago from eBay and it's still going strong
See this thread http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40013&t=12876338 for more recommendations.
Always have 2 on the front and 2 on the rear, just in case a battery dies. Also wear reflective materials.Summer - Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 9.0 Team
