Cold toes!

My feet are cold! I have some toe warmers and when it's raining I have overshoes. The toe warmers work fine until it gets frosty. Is it my socks that are a letdown?
There just standard sport socks. Also my shoes have lots of mesh vents for keeping your feet cool. I am about to purchase some Sidi Ergo 2's so maybe they will help with warmth?

Try some Defeet woolie boolie socks. Great socks and very warm.

Why wouldn't you wear overshoes if your feet are cold ? They're not just for rain ?

I put tape over the vents. It doesn't show under the overshoes and helps a bit. My toes were still cold this morning with a pair of merino and two pairs of thin socks on

Following advice on this forum yesterday I tried winter socks but with oversocks and neoprene overshoes on the outside.

Absolutely toasty and it was -2 degrees.

Bought a couple of pairs of these :-

Actually got them at a market stall locally but about the same price as Amazon are selling for. Keep my feet really toasty for most winter riding. When it's really sub-zero I just add overshoes. Maybe not the most aesthetically pleasing footwear but I can't fault them.

Ergo 2's aren't the warmest of shoes - you'll be grateful for that in the summer months!

I was out this morning and wore mid weight hiking socks, ergo 2's and assos overshoes. There was no trace of coldness about my feet! Could've done with liners for the early winter glove though...
