Going to treat the bike to a new gear and cable set come next year, but will have the missus get me them for Xmas, anyone have any recommendations? External, and I use sram rival throughout. Something which looks half decent would be nice to!

You can try shopping around for better price. They come in white or in a sort of waspy transparent black.
Stiff outers mind you, but brakes are so smooth.0 -
I've just bought the Shimano Dura Ace PTFE brake & gear cables for my new bike build. Quality cables. You can get em for a very good price at Parker International right now, which is where i got mine from.
Otherwise, I have Jagwire cables on my other two bikes, more than adequate.0 -
Thanks for the info, did see the gore ones but thought there might be quite abit of marketing going in to justify that price!

Jagwire racer cable set. Works well, durable, lots of colours available and can be picked up for £20-25.“Training is like fighting with a gorilla. You don’t stop when you’re tired. You stop when the gorilla is tired.”0
