Hi Experts,

I recently bought a mavic Cosmic wheel with a 2.4 SL Powertap. It is currently configured with a Campagnolo Freehub body. I didnt even think twice when I bought the item as I assumed it would be a simple switch that I could do myself with no extra cost. I started researching after the deed was done and realised that there was a bit more too it. Also there is no clear instructions online, very limited information on the subject which I find strange. Im sure someone on here can provide a step by step guide..I would really appreciate some help. It appears to be the older powertap version which runs on a 12mm axle. The freehub body does not simply pull off. There are two lock nuts on each side both with an Allen Key and Spanner cut which I believe needs to be loosed to remove the Freehub?? Looking closely at the Campy Freehub there is a tiny allen key screw in the side of the hub, I tried to loosen this using the smallest Key I could find but it was no use- I dont believe its necessary to loosen this to remove the Freehub body, its likely that this small screw, if a screw at all, is part of the hub assembly. Anyways I have a few doubts about doing this conversion and would really appreciate some tips before I begin. Some people have had issues with the spacers, but moving from a campy to a shimanohub I should be ok? its only when the conversion is the other way that you require som additional spacers for proper allignment?

Problem : Covert a Campy PowerTap Freehub to a Shimano Freehub.
