morning all,
out on the bike yesterday, route involved a few sections of road, mostly downhill, First time ive done some road use with the tyres on other than the genlte mile spin to the woods, is it normal for the nic's to sound like theres a Drone flying overhead at speed?? (20-25mphish), chap i was riding with had rubber queens on and they were comparitively silent to mine! was quite amusing towards the end,
just wondered if its normal or if mine are 'special', not unlike myself! ;-)

Yep - thats normal. Depends on the compound you bought too though. Black Chilli Contis always roll better / quieter. They will shut up once youve take the square edges of the knobs. They will also suck at that point.

I've long been a fan of nobby nics but for some reason I'm starting to find their limits a lot sooner than I use too. Never noticed they make a lot of noise on the road though I thought they roll quite well. Not that happy with my new set after a few rides, might be putting hans dampfs on I the near future

Never hit 20mph on the road but they can be a little noisy at lower speeds than that. Nothing excessive though. Pacestar compound here
  • That's a relief then! Was thinking it was just me! Haha! There the tripple evo nano compound,
Was juust funny yesterday, cross between a Drone and a attempt at tuning a 3cyl daewoo engine!
