BB7 Road disc rub

I've been running BB7 roads for about six weeks now and, after the initial rub as they bedded in, they have been fine.

Just this last week, after taking the wheels out to fit mud guards, the rub came back and it was awful! I eliminated most of it by truing the rotors but when riding, the front disc rubs badly due, it seems, to something flexing: Ride out of the saddle - rub. Put the power down - rub. Lean the bike into a corner - rub.

I've tried centring the caliper, backing the pads off as much as I can get away with, checking the bolts and tightening the quick release up. It's a new problem so I don't think I can blame the fork.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Rob

My dad got a bike with discs a few years ago and I couldn't stop them rubbing. After hours of adjusting I eventually discovered that the rack bolts were too tight so were distorting the position of the calipers. Backing off the bolts did the trick.

It's less likely with mudguards but that would be worth a look. If they're mounted to the same tab as the brakes it wouldn't take much to throw things off.
I'm left handed, if that matters.
