Danish ada are thinking of doing a USADA type investigation with Riis and his team first on the list

"Doping sinners" eh? No need for the bio-passport - let Jesus sort it out. Eternal bans all round.

Particularly taken with the following mangling by Google Translate

"It was an investigation unit from the U.S. anti-doping authorities, USADA, who molded balls to the report that felled Lance Armstrong."

USADA would have got little out of witnesses without the feds. Will the Danish ada be able to losen tongues up the way the Feds managed to?

Like I said to Friebe, after the apocalypse the only thing left will be cockroaches, Tupperware and Riis

  • How many pro cyclists does Riis employ these days?

By all accounts it is a clean team. Haven't the Danes got problems in other areas that are worth concentrating on rather than this? Riis is hardly in the same league as Armstrong / Bruyneel is he?

It was via twitter so it doesn't actually count.

Riis did plenty of damage as a team manager, helpfully introducing the likes of Tyler Hamilton to Fuentes and happily extolling the wonders of blood doping. Also dont forget Basso etc. In my view he should have no role in the sport. He might be one step down from Bruyneel's level, but he still makes podium.

Other than the fact that Riis seems like a nicer human being I don't see that much difference between and Bruyneel.

  • After winng Le Tour Riis dumped his wife for another woman (another Danish sports star IIRC). Bruyneel seems a bit more stable in the family dept.

Other than living a lie for two decades and making out he was an honest, hard working husband and father...

That's one of the better ones. About a decade ago, there was a photo of the two of them in Cycle Sport - The Hog looked like was hanging around with Pete Burns.

Always a possibility that you're underestimating Riis and overestimating LA / JB. If the media really picks up on Riis like they did on LA he could look just as bad or worse.

I'd say that was typical Belgian wedding photo glamour. Aspirational tackiness.

In looking over my wedding pictures, I found a few that were borderline tacky, but none as bad as that.

As a recovering Photography Student I think JB and his Mrs' photo borders on high Art and reminds me of the extremely well received artist/photographer; Mr Jeff Koons. He also liked photos with his ex porn star Mrs. (no really, please; he's a serious artist. The photo comes from the Tate Gallery's website)

    Just a note-

If there's an Apocalypse then I'm sure Mr Basso has been passed off fit by his local Priest after his disgrace so he'll be spared when the day of Judgement comes SO.... that's Cockroaches, Tupperware and Ivan Basso. Blessed are the blessed. Amen. :D

Riis still has not been brought down with any punishment, and any reference to him now, show him to be the 1996 TDF winner.
Before he joined that Drugged up Telekom (T Mobile) German cheats he was a member of the Ariosta team (I still have that jersey because it stands out in traffic) and the Gewiss team.
Those teams we now know were involved with Concorni/Ferrari and had magical results along with Bjarne's sudden improvements.
I thought he won a court case in Denmark for being "Slandered" regarding Drugs which he now admits he took.
