Rear mech inner cage query

Would a rear mech inner cage from a SRAM RED/Force rear mech fit a SRAM Rival rear mech assuming they are both short cage mechs with a 55mm gap between the two bolts.

    Last time i looked no and it was more cost effective to buy a new mech.

    but it may all depend on the year made.

    Im actually looking at a carbon fibre inner mech plate off ebay which states SRAM RED/Force with 55mm between bolts.
    Mine is a 2012 SRAM Rival Short cage rear mech with 55mm between the bolts.
    The carbon plate doesn't have the chain stoppers on it either so I'm wondering what would stop it from fitting a SRAM Rival rear mech.
    I thought by asking my initial question I might find out that way.
