Hey everyone, can anyone recommend an inexpensive but rugged five bolt 130mm BCD 1/8" chainring for my commuter. I'm actually having trouble finding any... Something like a 42 or 44t should do it.

Many thanks!

I can recommend the Velosolo one above. Well made and nice looking...

Cheap chainrings won't be as perfectly round as the more expensive offerings. I replaced a Sugino chainset with a Stronglight S2000 chainset and a Miche chainring and noticed the difference in lack of tight/loose spots.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
  • Thanks guys! I took a bit of a gamble and went for one of the Brev.M rings, a little 42t one. It arrived today and to be honest it looks pretty nice and is plenty light, much lighter than I was suspecting actually. It sits completely flat so it nice and true, guess I'll see how durable it is after some use.
