or 9. it depends on who makes them.

    i am 8.5 and 9 and wear 43 and 44.

try before you buy or check the returns policy.

I find Shimano 44's are around a UK 9 which is sometimes a 43. Rapha have a decent conversion chart for some brands (it's changed a bit and isn't a direct comparision chart anymore but you can work your way around it): http://www.rapha.cc/grand-tour-shoes
  • Iam usually a ten but ive had vans 9.5 shoes that fitted fine

Iam buying online so would it be better to go 45 rather than 44? Its a pair of serfas road shoes

    cheers

i would read the returns conditions then it does not really matter.

width has a lot to do with it as well.

  • Just found this which would say go for 45s to me

I'll check the returns policy though
  • In case this is any use..

... just bought some Spesh shoes, size 44 (usually 8.5-9 UK)...

... then got some Large DHB overshoes, advertised for 44-46. They were just big enough. The Medium (42-44) would have been quite a bit too small.
    Is the gorilla tired yet?
  • I am size 8.5f and the DHB size 44 is spot on for me.
As usual with cycling kit, the sizing of shoes seems very hit and miss

You need to look at mondo point (JP) for sizing as it's the only real constant when it comes to shoes as it measures the internal length from toe to heel in centimeters.

    ....

    No

I normally wear a 9.5 or 10 in ordinary shoes

My last pair of spesh s works road shoes were size 44 which equated to 9.5- both sizes were stamped on the box

However, I have found these a bit snug so have bought size 44.5 which also has size 10 stamped on the box, and they are a much better fit

    Might help:- http://cdn.styleforum.net/6/6e/6ee5e78c_gatsizing.png

I'm a UK9 but have DHB R1's in a 44, a touch on the large size but ok and fine with the Defeet Merino socks.
