Northwave Fahrentheit vs Sidi Hydro Winter boots

Has anyone had both pairs?

I've currently got a pair of NW and they are on their last legs.

So I'm weighing up the options.

The NW have been a good pair of boots for the past 4 winters so they have done their fair share of mileage however last winter the speed lace ripped through one of the tabs it runs through on both shoes and Im not a good enough seamstress to fix it and the local (drycleaners/sewing) shop can't fix them.

However normally I'd just get the same again but the main problem with the NW is that the water runs down my legs and in as they can't be closed that tightly due to the nature of their closing mechanism. Do the Sidis protect better in this respect?

They appear to be better sealed/velcro fastening only so maybe can be done up tighter around the ankle to stop less water running down my legs and in.

Thoughts?
