Road shoes that accept Crank Brothers cleats

I am looking for some road shoes that will accept the 2 bolt Crank Brothers cleats. Can't change my pedals/cleats as I need the extra float due to knee issues.

Any recommendations out there?

    Get the 3 hole Crank Bros. cleats? Standard 3 hole fixing that has a plastic surround around the cleat to let you walk

    It's bsically a 3 hole carrier with the premium brass cleat in it. I sourced mine from www.bike24.de as they were cheaper but the cleats are available in the uk

    WHich CB pedals are you using?

    CB have kept on making those adapters long after the Quattro pedal was withdrawn, but I wouldn't bank on it for ever. Why not consider MTB shoes instead?

    I used to use Crankbrothers Quattro pedals with road shoes and those cleat adapters. I eventually replaced the road shoes with carbon-soled MTB shoes and the Quattros with Candy pedals. There's no downside to the MTB shoes as far as I'm concerned.

    I assumed that the MTB shoes were nowhere near as stiff and so reduced power transfer?

    My carbon-soled MTB shoes are just as stiff as were my carbon-soled road shoes, ie no flex at all! And the ultra stiff sole means that there are zero "hot-spot" issues arising from the smaller cleat/sole contact area.

    If you're using old Quattro road pedals, it's possible that the tread of an MTB shoe may catch a little on the raised pontoons of the pedal. I have some Quattros on my turbo bike, and this happens - still works without me needing to trim the tread, but YMMV.

    If using any Crank Brothers MTB pedals this won't happen, since they don't have those raised sides.

    I use CB Candy pedals on my road bike with the aforementioned carbon-soled MTB shoes. Works a treat: the convenience of double-sided pedal entry, loads of float for dodgy knees, solid pedalling platform due to super stiff soles, plus treaded shoes when off the bike without breaking my neck. What's not to like?!

    DISCLAIMER - I JUST LIKE THE PEDALS AND NEEDED A USER NAME ... NOWT TO DO WITH THE COMPANY ...

    The 'walking' part of the quattro cleat is designed to improve power transfer to the quattro pedal ... You do notice a difference between the quattro's and the eggbeaters when wearing the same shoe/cleats ...

    It's a nicer option than spd's if you just can't get away with looks etc ... But the cleats will become obsolete eventually ... Luckily I've had my wear out of my quattro's and any more miles is a bonus (plus I have spare of the missus' old bike) ...

    Forget about Eggbeaters...

    IME there's no noticeable/material difference between Quattro pedals with road shoes / Quattro cleats and Candy pedals with MTB shoes / regular cleats.

    The MTB shoe tread seats against the Candy pedal body in the same way as the Quattro cleat pontoons seat against the Quattro pedal body.

    Road shoes are stiffer (at the high end of the market) ... but whether that will make a difference to you is up to you ...

    Plus they look better ...

    Have you tried investigating speedplay pedals? The most float on the market ...
