Headset sleeve
My bike has a loose headset, and after taking the stem off and lifting the cover I found the fork sleeve isn't pressed in causing play in the forks. My question is, do I need a special tool or can I just press the sleeve back in? My bike is a new 2012 Cube Agree GTC.

I presume you mean the compression bung into which the headset top cap screw fits? These are usually held in place using an Allen key to tighten them- usually 5 or 6mmMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

No the sleeve is pressed into the frame, it keeps the forks in place and sits inside the bearings, I think. I presume I can just press it, although I say this more in hope than any knowledge about it0

Should there be a 2-3 mm gap couple of mm down from the top of the steering tube?
I've pressed the centering sleeve back into the bearings and put everything back, but there's still play when press front brake! :?0 -
