Zipp 303 2012 vs Mavic Cosmic Carbone 2012

Thinking about swapping out my mavics for some zip 303's as I'm getting a new light bike and would like some light tubs to go with it whilst still retaining aero benefits.
I'll be saving 500g over the mavics but I'm interested in the ride quality of the zipps compared to the mavics.
Specifically I'm interested in flex under a heavy sprint, breaking performance in the wet/dry, durability. I'm 162lbs so weight shouldn't be an issue.
Cheers

Performance... if they are good for Boonen to win Paris Roubaix, they are probably OK for you... I'm sure your heavy sprint is not that heavy after all
Braking... well they are carbon rims, don't expect miracles in the wet and if you do brake a lot, the rims will wear quickly... durability will be a function of how much you brake... if you like hilly rides, I would avoid themleft the forum March 20230 -

In the same ball game, you can ask Wheelsmith about 38 mm tubulars, I am sure they will work out a lot cheaper than the Zipp and comparable in all other aspects. Also, if you need to replace a Zipp rim, you are facing a 500 pounds bill, while a Gigantex one will be around 100, as I believe Derek replace them at cost rather than retail price.
Of course, if money is no issue, then get the Zipp, if that's what you really wantleft the forum March 20230
