Tyre levers for carbon rims

Need some advice on decent tyre levers for my Reynolds rims. I want something that I can take in my bike pack (lezyne micro caddy) and that won't damage the rims, as I've been told not to use my regular alu levers.

I bought some nylon ones but they are worse than useless, there's no way in hell they are strong enough to get the tyre out, they just bend pathetically.

Cheers

  • It's bad technique... besides, I would recommend to practice and learn to fit them/remove them bare hands... especially with carbon rims

I can put them on no probs with bare hands, but never even tried taking them off with them. I'm doubtful I could do it to be honest, is there some kind of trick?

I use the above- no issues with them bending

Grab the tyre with both hands and lift it, then push it off the rim, you might need to repeat the operation 2-3 times, while the rubber stretches and allow you to get the bead off the rim. Once it's off, just push the all tyre/tube off the rim... it is very simple. Start from far away from the valve
